(Verse 1) You say that you're ready for more I don't believe you You say that you're ready for more I don't believe you Can you look me in the eye Tell me that you like What you feel right now? Life starts right now or never Close your eyes, fly into forever (chorus) In my City/ oh oh We live for the light tonight In my City/ oh oh We fight to hold the light I know it's not easy to see, but the stars all shine in my City In my city/oh oh/Aye (verse 2) This is how we move/ We got 'em lining up the sides of the street Sidewalks crowded with danger I'm not a stranger/ to what happens when you ask for And when you get it oh Lord Pray in the end it's what you need and more/ I say Just be careful what you wish for You might get it/ You might get it say (chorus) In my City/ oh oh We live for the light tonight In my City/ oh oh We fight to hold the light I know it's not easy to see, but the stars all shine in my City In my city/oh oh/Aye (Bridge) I fight my way through the crowd tonight This is home and it all feels right We realize that life is short Live it cause I got no time to loan (chorus) In my City/ oh oh We live for the light tonight In my City/ oh oh We fight to hold the light I know it's not easy to see, but the stars all shine in my City In my city/oh oh/Aye In My City (oh oh) 3xs In My City

Life starts right now or never Close your eyes, fly into forever Aye! (Verse 1) This is how we move/ We got 'em lining up the sides of the street Sidewalks crowded with danger I'm not a strangerto what happens when you ask for And when you get it oh Lord Pray in the end it's what you need and more/ I say Just be careful what you wish for You might get it/ You might get it say (chorus) In my city/ oh oh We live for the light tonight/ I said In my city/ oh oh We fight for just one night Well I know it's not easy to see, but the stars they all fly in my city today/ I say In my city/oh oh/Aye (verse 2) Cryin' at night by yourself/ you don't want nobody's help You don't wanna be down with nothing less you've held it In your own hand/ and I guess I understand If you don't trust no one then you can't comprehend Having someone on your team like me So you would rather step aside and make me believe that you just don't love me no more (Oh no) Then I just don't need you no more/ I'm so gone I say/ I get lost in the night time/ I fight my way through the crowd tonight We realize that life is short Live it cause I got no time to loan/ I say In my city/ it's so crazy My mama died at 22 years/ Eh eh So I guess I gotta live for the both of us When I shine you know that she is there 'cause (Chorus) In my city/ oh oh We live for the light tonight/ I said In my city/ oh oh We fight for just one night Well I know it's not easy to see, but the stars they all fly in my city today/ I say In my city/oh oh/Aye In my city/ oh oh We live for the light tonight/ I said In my city/ oh oh We fight for just one night Well I know it's not easy to see, but the World believes/ they wanna be in my city today/ I say In my city/oh oh/ woah oh oh

about

The song that helped launch a movement, this is the underground track that brought Elliott LaRue to the World stage with DAYBREAKER to take his message of Enlightenment, Love and Culture from a small basement party in NYC, to opening on tour for Oprah Winfrey. A song about how we see the world around us and a blaring siren to wake up the listener to a new perspective, Elliott utilizes multiple pop styles to create a statement piece for our up and down times with an eye to uplift and wakeup the energy in us all.
